All guest rooms at Shodoshima International Hotel have ocean views overlooking the beautiful Seto Inland Sea.
From the window, you can see the beauty of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea, the grandeur of Shikoku Yashima Island, and “Angel Road,” a sacred place for lovers, as if they were masterpieces displayed in a frame.
Please enjoy an extraordinary moment of luxury surrounded by the nature of the Seto Inland Sea, which was highly praised by Siebold, Thomas Cook, and others.

Selected for two consecutive years as one of the “Top 100 Sustainable Tourism Destinations” by Green Destinations, an international certification organization in the Netherlands, Shodoshima’s olive cultivation has been revived since the late Showa period through subsidies for the cost of trees and the conversion of abandoned farmland into olive groves, and has received high international recognition for its quality. The quality of the olives has also been highly evaluated internationally. The town is now working as one to promote sustainable tourism in the Seto Inland Sea, a region rich in natural beauty.

Soy Sauce Village
Shodoshima developed as a town of soy sauce production. Hishio-no-Sato,” the name of the area around the hotel, refers to the walking paths and areas along the soy sauce warehouse street and in the Nabane and Magi districts, which have the largest concentration of soy sauce warehouse buildings in Japan. Hishio no Sato is lined with soy sauce warehouses and tsukudani factories that developed on Shodoshima, the Marukin Soy Sauce Memorial Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of soy sauce, and other soy sauce-related facilities.
